We know we need to drink 8 glasses of water a day for optimal health, but plain ol’ water can start to taste, well….plain! Try infusing it with fruits and herbs. Not only will it be delicious and refreshing but will add a pop of color too. Try adding strawberries, oranges, lemons and lime. The possibilities are endless!
Strawberry Basil Infused Water
4-6 fresh strawberries cleaned and halved, stems removed
¼ cup of fresh basil
16 oz of water
Combine all ingredients into a mason jar. Refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight. Strain infused water into a drinking glass or sip from mason jar with a thin straw.
Chef’s Note: This recipe can be made using a glass or pitcher. Look for infuser pitchers at your local kitchen supply store.
